Justin Marks, the visionary founder and team owner of the highly successful Trackhouse Racing organization, is set to strap back into a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series machine for the upcoming inaugural race at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego. Marks will pilot the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, a venture supported by long-time partner Jockey, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Since its inception in 2021, Trackhouse Racing has rapidly ascended to become a dominant force in the NASCAR Cup Series. The team boasts an impressive tally of 15 Cup Series victories, including a prestigious win in the 2025 Coca-Cola 600. Trackhouse currently fields a formidable lineup: the No. 1 Chevrolet driven by Ross Chastain, the No. 88 Chevrolet with Connor Zilisch behind the wheel, and the No. 97 Chevrolet piloted by Shane van Gisbergen.
However, before establishing himself as the owner of a championship-contending Cup Series team, Marks cultivated a notable career as a driver. His racing resume spans all three major NASCAR national touring series, and he secured a significant victory in a NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2016.
This upcoming start will mark Marks’ 40th appearance in the Craftsman Truck Series. His most recent foray into the series was at Mid-Ohio during the 2022 season. While Marks has yet to achieve a victory in the Truck Series, he has demonstrated competitive speed, earning two pole positions and achieving a personal best finish of eighth. Beyond his stock car endeavors, Marks also achieved considerable success in sports car racing, accumulating eight wins in the Rolex Grand-Am Sports Car Series (now part of IMSA), highlighted by a class victory in the prestigious 2009 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
