The victory, secured in the early hours of Sunday morning at Five Flags Speedway, marked not only a career milestone for the young racer but also his debut appearance in the highly competitive event.
The Snowflake 125, a significant fixture on the short-track racing calendar, commenced deep into the night, with the green flag finally waving around 1:30 AM local time. The challenging conditions and late start did little to deter the determined field, with Luke Baldwin positioned on pole for the 125-lap contest. Keelan Harvick, son of 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, faced an uphill battle, starting the race from a less-than-ideal 15th position. However, the young driver exhibited a maturity beyond his years, systematically navigating through the pack with consistent speed and precision.
By Lap 40, Harvick had successfully advanced into the top five, demonstrating early race pace that signaled his potential for a strong finish. Throughout this early phase, the defending winner of the closely associated Snowball Derby, Kaden Honeycutt, appeared to be in command of the race, holding a significant advantage as the field approached the Lap 75 competition break.

With only 25 laps remaining, the lead was held by 15-year-old Tristan McKee, a driver who has also made a notable impact in racing circles this year, including an ARCA race win on debut. In a decisive maneuver, Harvick initiated a move beneath McKee, successfully taking the lead. This time, he held firm, navigating a tense final lap and a late-race restart to clinch the checkered flag, crossing the finish line around 4:30 AM on Sunday.
Following his historic victory, Keelan Harvick shared his elation with Flo Racing. "It’s really cool," he stated. "They brought me a really fast car. Not much practice. We didn’t come down here and test. I had school, but we came down here and made it work."

"It’s just big on earning respect from all of the veterans that are in the field," he explained. "There’s a lot of them that come to that race. Pretty much all of them. When asked about its contents, Keelan responded with a grin, admitting he couldn’t decipher the message due to his father’s notoriously poor handwriting and smeared ink. "I’m honestly not sure," he confessed. "His handwriting is pretty bad and all the ink just smeared together. I think it was something about partial throttle, but his handwriting is not that good so I’m not sure." The strong performance of Tristan McKee was recognized with a second-place finish, followed by Kaden Honeycutt in third. Isaac Kitzmiller secured fourth, with Luke Baldwin rounding out the top five.
