NASCAR Community Mourns Loss of Dennis Hamlin, Father of Denny Hamlin, After Tragic House Fire

MaryLou, 69, was subsequently transferred to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Burn Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she is reportedly in critical condition and receiving active treatment.

A statement released by Gaston County EMS indicated that both individuals sustained "catastrophic injuries while escaping the flames." The investigation into the precise cause of the fire is ongoing, with officials citing significant structural damage and the collapse of the home as factors complicating the inquiry.

The property where the tragedy occurred is registered under the name of Denny Hamlin through his real estate entity, Won One Real Estate. The 3,724-square-foot residence was constructed in 2015.
