MOORESVILLE, NC – Front Row Motorsports (FRM) has announced a significant restructuring of its competition department, including the appointment of Grant Hutchens as the new crew chief for Noah Gragson and the No. 4 Ford Mustang team in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series season. The organizational changes, detailed on Friday, aim to bolster the team’s performance and strategic direction.
Drew Blickensderfer, who previously led the No. 4 team, will transition to the newly established role of Competition Director. This move signals a strategic shift for Blickensderfer, leveraging his experience in a broader capacity to oversee and enhance the team’s overall competitive efforts across all its entries. Blickensderfer, a respected figure in the Cup Series garage, brings a wealth of knowledge, including two Daytona 500 victories as a crew chief.
Grant Hutchens steps into the crew chief position for Gragson with prior experience in a similar capacity at the Cup Series level. His resume includes a limited but impactful tenure as a crew chief for select races between 2021 and 2024. During this period, Hutchens worked with prominent drivers and teams, including Brad Keselowski and Austin Cindric at Team Penske, and Harrison Burton for nine races with the Wood Brothers. His experience with established organizations is anticipated to provide valuable insights for the No. 4 team.
In addition to the crew chief change, Front Row Motorsports has also reinforced its technical leadership. Seth Barbour will continue in his role as the team’s Technical Director, a position critical to the engineering and development of the team’s racing machinery.
