Racing Bulls to Showcase Dazzling Holographic Livery at Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Visa Cash App RB Formula 1 team, commonly known as Racing Bulls, has unveiled a unique ‘holographic’ livery set to debut during this weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix. This distinctive design, developed in collaboration with title partner Cash App, marks the team’s final one-off livery for the current season’s promotional calendar, offering a striking visual spectacle on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

The special holographic treatment will transform the VCARB 02, the team’s conceptual car for the 2025 season, with iridescent colours adorning the typically white nose, sidepod, and engine cover sections. While the current 2024 season sees Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda piloting the VCARB 01, the unveiling of the VCARB 02 with this vibrant livery, symbolically associated with junior drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson for promotional purposes, provides an early glimpse into the team’s future aesthetic direction. Hadjar, a promising talent in the Red Bull junior program, and Lawson, who impressed as a stand-in driver in previous seasons, represent the future pipeline for the Red Bull family of teams.

This vibrant design draws direct inspiration from the Holo Card, the latest Visa Card offering from Cash App, aiming to encapsulate the "bold, high-energy spirit and vibrant nightlife aesthetic" synonymous with Las Vegas. The holographic theme extends beyond the car itself, permeating the team’s garage setup, as well as the race suits, boots, and gloves of the drivers, creating a cohesive visual identity for the high-profile event. The Williams Racing team previously showcased its one-off livery for the Vegas weekend. Their FW47 car has been predominantly re-coloured in black with distinctive rainbow accents complementing blue sidepods. This design was commissioned at the behest of their title partner Atlassian and its AI-powered tool, Rovo. James Vowles, Team Principal of Williams, underlined the significance of their design, stating, "This striking livery is the latest celebration of our work with partners Atlassian, who are helping to accelerate our tech transformation and bring Williams right back to the cutting edge. There could not be a more iconic place to unveil this than in Las Vegas, one of the most tech-forward cities in the world." Williams, a storied team in F1, has been on a rebuilding phase, and such technological partnerships are crucial to their long-term strategy.

Alpine, another prominent team on the grid, also confirmed a return to a vibrant pink livery that will be featured across the remaining three races of the 2025 season (again, interpreted as the remaining races of the current promotional cycle). The updated A525 livery incorporates additional pink elements on the sidepods, a clear homage to their long-standing title sponsor, BWT. Alpine has been a consistent presence in the midfield, often battling with teams like Racing Bulls and Williams, and their distinct pink livery has become a recognizable feature on the grid, enhancing brand recall for BWT.

The updated look for their C45 car retains the contrasting black and green colours that have defined its current appearance but introduces a chequered flag motif.
