A friend of Brittany Williams, who is rumored to be the ex-girlfriend of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, has posted on Instagram that Williams is “now accepting husband applications,” seeming to confirm the reported breakup. The pair attended the Kentucky Derby together, but pictures from the event showed them separate and Williams with her friend Karlee Zacky. The post has since expired, but a Twitter user shared a screenshot of it. Allen and Williams have not publicly acknowledged their split, but rumors began when Williams unfollowed Allen on Instagram and removed all photos of them together.
Allen and Williams had been dating since 2017 and had known each other since they were children. The couple was last seen together in February, but Williams’ uncoupling from Allen became apparent when she posted on Instagram, celebrating her birthday without Allen while sitting in front of a heart-shaped birthday cake that had #MHWN written on it. The hashtag stood for the Instagram page for the romance podcast “My Husband Would Never,” and Williams added a caption thanking her girls for spoiling her, followed by the same hashtag.
Allen has not commented on the reported breakup, but he did participate in the Buffalo Bills’ voluntary workouts in late May, and he has been photographed since then at promotional events and a charity softball game. Allen’s accomplishments on the field so far have included leading the Bills to their first playoff win since 1995, setting Buffalo’s franchise record for passing yards in a single season, and becoming the third quarterback in NFL history to throw for 4,500 yards and rush for 400 yards in a single season.
