Boxing: Conor McGregor makes bold claim about a potential second fight vs Floyd Mayweather

Conor McGregor has expressed his desire for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather after a Twitter user reminded the fighter how the ref called one of Conor’s body shots a ‘low blow’ in their earlier fight. In response, the Irishman took to Twitter to call for a rematch with ‘Money’, suggesting adjustments could be made to get the job finished. While some supporters agree that the ‘low blow’ was fair, others think Conor does not have a chance against one of the best boxers to date.

Despite Conor’s confidence, the first fight clearly showed that Mayweather is several levels above the Irishman. The fight only ended because of a stoppage in Mayweather’s favour, which demonstrated that he was in control throughout the fight. While money is definitely a consideration, a rematch may not be realistic given Conor’s lack of experience in the boxing arena.

The rematch between Conor and Mayweather could potentially be a big moneymaker for both fighters, but fans have doubts regarding the outcome due to Conor’s lack of experience in boxing compared to Mayweather, who is considered one of the best to ever do it. McGregor may be confident in his abilities, but many believe that it would be a stretch for him to beat Mayweather in a rematch. Despite Conor’s attempts to get fans excited about the prospect of a rematch, many will likely remain sceptical of his chances.
