Suns list Chris Paul day-to-day with left groin strain

Chris Paul, Suns guard, has been sidelined after exiting Game 2 towards the end of the third quarter with a left groin strain. The player will be monitored closely, with his status considered as “day to day,” as he looks to recover for Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets. The Suns will be hoping to overturn a 2-0 deficit and progress in the Western Conference playoffs.

The incident occurred as Paul was boxing out Kentavious Caldwell-Pope when the Nuggets guard attempted an offensive rebound. Shortly after, Paul proceeded to walk towards the bench and later went to the locker room. Although the Suns had some hope of recovery during Game 2, the team couldn’t close the gap against the top-seeded Nuggets.

Paul’s absence will be a big blow for the Suns, with 12-time All-Star playing a crucial role in the team’s success this season. The player’s experience and leadership on the court will be missed as Phoenix tries to mount a comeback. The team may well have to rely on their other key players, including Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton, to help keep them in the race.
